Over 3 days and comprising 26 talks and lively debates, this conference is staged to coincide with Edinburgh's world-renowned festival season including the Edinburgh Fringe, the Edinburgh International Festival, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the Edinburgh Art Festival and the Edinburgh International Book Festival. It's the perfect opportunity to bring friends and family to enjoy this wonderful city at its very best.

All delegates are invited to attend the “EAF Welcome Drinks Reception” immediately following the first day of talks on Wednesday 18 August 2021 at the conference venue “Royal College of Physicians”, 5 - 6.30pm. A fantastic opportunity to sample Scottish drink, canapes and meet peers from around the world.
The popular Conference Dinner is held on the second day of the conference, Thursday 19 August 2021 - sold out in the previous 2 years. Venue tbc but early booking advisable.
Abstract Competition
All trainee anaesthetists, anaesthetists and research scholars are invited to submit an abstract for oral and poster presentation at this year’s Edinburgh Anaesthesia Festival 18-20 August 2021. Abstracts may cover any topic in anaesthesia, intensive care or pain related medicine and must be emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots.
